Here’s another picture that I drew in Tassie. I was sitting by the fire at Hells Gates (interesting thought…) and the first drawable object I noticed was the bottle of Scotch in front of me. A bottle of 12 year old Glenlivet. This has to be one of my favorite scotch whiskeys alongside Dimple.

About The Glenlivet 12

Colour: Bright and lively gold.

Nose: Exquisite delicacy of summer-like fragrances, with playful interlacing of floral and fruity aromas. A sensuous touch of exotic fruit, notably pineapple. It opens in time on creamier and richer notes of stewed greengages and ripe apricots. Oak tenderly enhances that enticing bouquet with more vanilla and nutty notes and an echo of toasted oats.

Palate: Honeyed floral notessahine through. A silky feel, flowing on the tongue. Smooth and sweet fruit notes of white peaches and pears poached in vanilla syrup.

Finish: Marzipan and fresh hazelnuts followed by a gentle spiciness of grated ginger.

Now there’s a man who enjoys some of the finer things in life 😉 I haven’t tried The Glenlivet – we must have a dram when I’m in town! Have you ever tried a scotch from the Islay region? I had a Laphriog Quarter Cask a while ago and it was amazing, incredibly peaty and smoky, very different from a smooth Speyside malt like The Glenlivet or Glenfiddich. Tasting notes: “like drinking a bonfire”.

Nice drawing, Korske! 🙂 Not sure I’d go for the scotch though…

Thanks Kathy! There’s been a few more I’ve been meaning to upload but haven’t got around to.

Ah, but a nice cup of tea is just as good.
