Here’s a little except on what it’s all about!

August 19th is a very special day for photographers around the world. It’s on this very day, that the invention of photography was publicly announced in Paris, 1839. Since this occasion, the day has been celebrated as World Photography Day.

World Photography Day is all about photography and remembering how truly special a photograph can be. Today, we take our cameras for granted and a photograph is nothing new. But next time you’re taking a trip down memory lane, remember that there was once a time when photography didn’t exist. A time when those precious moments couldn’t be captured, uploaded and shared.
