I headed out to Floriade yesterday afternoon with my EF 70-200 f/2.8 IS. Carrying around a large telephoto, I was given a few odd glances. A lady enjoying the afternoon with her grandchildren even asked me whether I was getting good photographs with the telephoto zoom.We had a great chat, and I found out that she loved her bird photography and had just bought a 70-200 and a 7D.
At a flower festival, macro lenses are very popular as are your regular all rounders (eg: 18-55mm, 17-85mm and 24-105mm ).
Never assign specific tasks to each of your lenses. Get creative, use your imagination and try something new! I love my 70-200 f/2.8 IS, it’s sharp and the contrast and colours are amazing. It’s low depth of field at f/2.8 also does an amazing job at bringing out specific subjects. Sounds great for flowers!
Well, without any further rambling, here are some photos :)
Hopefully, I’ll make it along to nightfest too :)
